Thomas Precision rebuilds worn and damaged food processing equipment — from individual components to complete machines — at its facilities in Wisconsin and Louisiana, including separators, meat grinders, emulsifiers, pumps, gearboxes, bearing housings, and scraped surface heat exchangers.
Separator and Grinder Wear Parts
Thomas Precision specializes in quick turnarounds on rebuilding separator and meat grinder wear parts. For separators, we fully inspect worn augers, screens, and restrictors, quote the rebuild, and rebuild each component to specification. Parts beyond rebuilding are quoted as new Thomas Precision replacements. Critical components are marked with a Set ID so matched sets stay together, and abnormal wear is flagged with recommendations, so developing issues can be addressed before they cause downtime. We rebuild meat grinder feedscrews, heads, rings, and hoppers in stainless or tin-plated steel, and every separator auger and stainless grinder feedscrew is hand-polished for a like-new finish.
Gearboxes and Bearing Housings
Thomas Precision rebuilds gearboxes and bearing housings — completely disassembled, evaluated with precision measuring tools, washed, glass-beaded, and repainted as needed. Each unit is assigned a serial number to track its rebuild history. For scraped surface heat exchangers, we repair or replace shaft ends and straighten shafts as needed, and we hone tube bores to remove damage, including re-chroming plated bores for extended life. We also rebuild positive displacement pumps and pump skids.
Machine Overhauls
For complete machine overhauls, Thomas Precision tears machines down to individual components: steel parts are blasted and painted, stainless exterior frames get refinished, all bearings and seals are replaced, and worn parts are rebuilt or replaced. Controls and electrical components can be tested and rebuilt or fully replaced. Every machine is dry-run tested before it leaves our facility. We perform these rebuilds on meat grinders, separators (high-speed, slow-speed, and belt), emulsifiers, pumps, and scraped surface heat exchangers.
We rebuild parts and equipment from most major OEMs, including Baader, Beehive/Provisur, Wolfking/GEA, Poss, Sepamatic, Simo, Contherm/Alfa Laval, Votator/SPX Flow, Cozzini, Dixie, Rome, Prince, Rietz/Bepex, Seydelmann, APV/Crepaco, and Thermutator/SPX Flow — as well as our own equipment. If we make an equivalent part, we can evaluate it and offer a rebuild or replacement.
